Around the time of Halloween, a lot of people start to become fans of the Goth look which has become popular in many stories and was the centerpiece of the hugely successful book “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” It would seem that people often go for this sharp look more often than just during Halloween night and seem to invite the darker days and colder weather of the winter by dressing in a lot more black and leather outfits. Also popular are piercings that might be real or fake and bold makeup choices like the dark Smoky Eye look that not only covers Hollywood red carpets during the fall but is also a large part of the Goth look and culture.
The protagonist of the book “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is almost immediately recognizable when her look is described because the author of the novel went to such great lengths to describe all of her various fashion tendencies such as leather jackets, cropped black hair and a host of piercings on the face. Of course, for people who aren’t actually a part of Goth culture and who don’t want to be completely mistake for being Lisbeth Salander, it’s not too hard to take a few pieces of her dramatic look and apply it to normal, everyday life.
The look of her makeup is probably one of the easiest looks to accomplish as far as buying the right sort of eye shadow and makeup is concerned, although getting the look just right will probably take a few times of trial and error.
